“Holy Spirit, I give you permission to not just be in me, but to be revealed through me in powerful, miraculous, and dynamic ways today. May my day be filled with awe-inspiring moments of your love and grace. Spill over from me into every person I meet. I want to walk so close with you today, Holy Spirit, that I will be continuously surprised by your miracles. Allow me to see miraculous works in both simple moments and profound breakthroughs that would force me to to say, ‘Only you, LORD, only you could have done this! Dedicating your child to the purposes and plans of the Lord is a powerful time for your family and for the church. Regardless of the age of your children, you can participate. It’s often assumed that your child has to be a newborn or toddler but we believe child dedication is just as much about the dedication of parents and the church as it is for your child. - If interested, there is a link in the bio. Join the family party on April 28!
Come to the WELL! We have posted the prayer from today’s sermon on the website. May you continue to quench your thirst by receiving his Work, Energy, Lordship, and Love this Easter season. Here is a link to the prayer: http://www.neighborhoodfriends.org/sermons/seven-devotional/seven-wk5/##prayer

HIS LAST WORDS ARE YOUR NEW START . . . You are most likely familiar with the sacrifice of Jesus, but have you personalized it? SEVEN WORDS is a brand new series of talks that will explore how Jesus’ seven last statements on the cross can serve as an example of the spiritual transformation that anyone can follow. We can learn a lot about someone by listening to their final words. We can learn a lot about ourselves by allowing Jesus’ final words to be our new beginning. Join us for this powerful Lenten season message series at Neighborhood Friends. #sevenwords WEEK 1 March 3rd - Seven Words To Transform Your Life: "Starting At the End of the Road” On the day Jesus overcame death, he went on an unexpected walk with two unknown travelers and headed to an unknown town. The map and journey may seem unusual, but as we walk and talk through the story we will find clues of how God speaks to us in our own journey. Sometimes the start of a new journey with God is closer than you think.
This is a little video to show you why Growth Track is so close to my heart. I pray you will consider coming, enjoying the food, conversation, and the joy of being known and knowing others. Growth track is such an important step in the future of our church because it involves you! Pastor Donnie
Description Tonight is the finale of our Facebook Lifegroup series on Brennan Manning’s book, Abba’s Child. Don’t miss out! This quote can accurately sum up everything about our relationship with God. He comes not with a sword to overpower, a rod to punish, or a voice to bring us fear and shame. He simply comes in such a way that everything we have been, or feel we are, stands in silence and we bask in the wonder and beauty of being unconditionally loved by Him, our Creator, and our Abba. Description We are currently living in the biggest communication shift in over 300 years. That’s exciting in many ways, but with so much information, images, videos, and voices in our world, it can be hard to hear the one voice that was intended to guide us, lead us, and define our identity as a child of God. So, pull up a chair, listen in, chime in, and be ready to be drawn back into the voice that can design your best and most authentic self. There are a number of themes in this chapter. So, if you like variety, this chapter is for you. some of the themes Manning addresses are authority and service, the poverty of uniqueness, and being and doing. All are somehow related to what I think is a confusing title “Fortitude and Fantasy.” In a nutshell, this chapter is about abiding in the love, voice, and tenderness of Christ rather than the voice of our peers and cultural trends. Join us for Chapter 8 of Abba’s Child. | Fortitude and Fantasy 7pm | Neighborhood Friends Facebook Page

Chapter 7 of Abba’s Child. 7pm | "The Recovery of Passion" Neighborhood Friends Facebook Page People are passionate. People yell at a tv when their favorite team is doing well or playing a subpar game. Music is a passion for people; so much so that they will sing at the top of their lungs, beat the dashboard like they are a drummer for a rock band with no regard to how silly they look to the person giggling that them in the car next to them. In Colorado, people are passionate about the outdoors, pets, food, fashion, extreme sports, and living that young and up-and-coming life to fit in with culture. This chapter is entitled The Recovery of Passion. And although we don’t really see a decline in passion, we do see a decline in being passionate about being spiritually healthy. You are passionate. We are passionate; but maybe our passions are misguided or lacking perspective on where they lead us.
Have you ever felt like you had no handle on the relationships, activities, and mundane moments of life? Have you ever wondered if they were connected and maybe led to something more profound and bigger? Without a deliberate awareness of Jesus with you in everything you do, everything else in life will not make sense. Chapter six of Brennan Manning’s book Abba’s Child is called “Present Risenness” which explores the profound reality that we are never alone as children of God and always connecting dots to a deep reality of life and eternity. We will be looking that this amazing chapter tonight in EPISODE #7 of our Neighborhood Friends Facebook Lifegroup. Join us, grab a warm drink, listen in, as I am joined tonight by my good friend, Doug Stooke
Abba’s Child - Chapter 5 - The Pharisee and the Child Description: Chapters 1-4 calls out the imposter, fake, or false person that we try desperately to keep in front of our life. It’s the person we have to become rather than the person God wants you to become. The Imposter self has to live out the expectations of every voice that tried to shape them. Tonight, we talk about the Inner Child. The person that is not afraid to be in touch with emotions and move far away from religion and into a deep relationship with God and Jesus. Tonight, the inner child is explored as a way of opening up a new person in Christ. Hold on to your seats. This is a great chapter! Wednesday, 11/28/18 7 pm
Keep praying. 10:20 am/pm. Stop the scroll and take 2 minutes to pray for our church community as we believe with great faith that God is going to MULTIPLY us in 2019. Big days are ahead. Be a part of praying it in! #multiplyneighborhood #neighborhoodfriends
Chapter 4 of Abba’s Child is titled appropriately “Abba’s Child.” One question Brennan asks in chapter 4, we have asked almost every week. I think it’s the question of the book. It may not be earth shattering to you, but for most, if we really pause and ask this question we may find it reaching the darkest parts of us that we never thought were there or felt could be reached. “Do you honestly believe God likes you, not just loves you because theologically God has to love you? (p. 46) The question takes us deeper tonight into some of the toughest cultural topics just to see if compassion and tenderness are possible in those places. Join us tonight. Chapter by chapter we just seem to dig a little deeper and it can be liberating and freeing.
